Let’s just say that I may have taken on a bit too much when I decided to begin this blog just before starting a new job at one of our local universities. By the end of the semester, life was definitely getting more and more crazy and less and less amazing. I was only working part-time, but balancing work-life and mom-life was proving to be more difficult than I had anticipated.
The most difficult aspect of my job was the fact that every week was different because I was at the mercy of both the student teachers who I was mentoring and the schools where they were placed. This made it difficult for me to find a weekly routine that worked both me and my family, and by the end of the semester, the weekly schedule (meal planning on Sunday, grocery shopping on Monday, etc.) had completely fallen apart.
With no weekly routine, it seemed like I lost all ability to plan ahead. This translated into letting a number of things slide including writing on this blog. I can’t even count the number of times I had something to write about, but either couldn’t find the time or was too exhausted to get it posted. However, I’M BACK am excited to turn my attention back to finding the balance between crazy and amazing and sharing it with you here.
